We had a lovely trip to Munnar lastweek and am here to share those experiences. We wanted to be there since a year after hearing about God's own country. We finally made it this May and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Munnar
I heard from many people that its a nature's beauty, and it
proved to be true.
Day1
We reached Ernakulam by 3@30PM and took a bus to munnar and
that's a 4 hour journey. We started by 5@30pm and this part
of the journey was adventurous and scary as well.Munnar being
1600 feet above sea level,we had to go through the ghat.
It was getting dark and the hills were so close to the bus,and often
the leaves would peep in, scaring us all the more. It was pitch dark,
the bus driver switched off the lights,we could hear the
water falls near by and suddenly the bus stops!Tension mounted
on us,only for a while though, road widening was taking place & so
we had to wait for a while before we moved on.
Atlast we reached munnar at 10pm,took an auto and reached the hotel,
called Las Palmas. The reception knew that we would be coming so everything
went smoothly.
Day 2 & 3
After getting up in the morn,we saw that the hotel was surrounded
with trees, trees & trees,we enjoyed the morning sun & had our
breakfast.
We booked an indica for sight seeing, and we covered some of the spots
on monday & Tuesday.
